During a press conference on Wednesday, Barça coach Hansi Flick extended his congratulations to Ousmane Dembélé while also addressing Lamine Yamal's standing.

The Barça manager touched on the Ballon d'Or topic this Wednesday. He praised Ousmane Dembélé for his triumph. "Dembélé deserved his Ballon d'Or. It's an award decided by votes, and anything can happen," he noted before commenting on Lamine Yamal's second place finish.

"It's a motivation for the coming years. He takes it positively. He will have a shot at winning the Ballon d'Or. He won't have to wait long to come back. He looks sharp. Lamine's return is near—yesterday and the day before, he trained well. Things are looking good," said the German tactician.

Flick was also asked about Pedri's eleventh place finish. For him, it is debatable: "It's debatable, maybe the focus is more on attackers, but when a player of Scholes' stature praises Pedri, that says a lot. He was an outstanding midfielder and knows what he’s talking about. It means a lot that someone like Paul Scholes compliments Pedri. That means a lot to me; he's at an incredible level alongside Frenkie. I'm very happy with the quality I see in training."
