Ronald Araujo may never play for FC Barcelona again.

At Barça, Ronald Araujo has been going through a tough period in recent days. The central defender has been mentally shaken following his red card against Chelsea (1-3) in the Champions League. Since then, Araujo has requested and been granted indefinite leave by FC Barcelona to address his anxiety issues.

"It's more serious than we thought. Araujo's situation is very serious, and we'll see if he plays again or not, because it's a very delicate matter," revealed Juanma Castaño, a journalist for Cadena Cope. It's worth noting that while the Catalan management continues to support their centre-back, they are also logically searching for a possible replacement in the winter transfer window.

Araujo may therefore never wear the Barça colors again.
