Barcelona and Palmeiras have reportedly reached an agreement on the transfer fee for Vitor Roque, according to a recent update from Mundo Deportivo. The outlet mentions that despite this progress, the young forward’s future remains uncertain.
Each day brings new developments in this story, and recent signs increasingly suggest that he could be on his way back to Brazil.
The 19-year-old striker is currently on loan at Real Betis, with his temporary spell set to run until 30 June.
However, Palmeiras have shown strong interest in securing his services and have taken significant steps towards making the transfer happen.
The Brazilian club is prepared to pay €25 million for 80% of Roque’s federation rights, which is the same amount Barcelona have agreed upon with Betis should the Spanish club decide to make his stay permanent at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Betis’ sporting director, Manu Fajardo, has acknowledged that Barcelona have already opened discussions regarding Roque’s future.
However, both he and the club’s manager, Manuel Pellegrini, are not keen on losing the forward. This is because Betis value Roque’s contribution to the squad, and Pellegrini has made it clear that he wants him to remain with the team.
Roque himself has chosen to stay neutral in the situation, allowing the clubs to negotiate and determine the best outcome. He has settled well at Betis, enjoying both the footballing environment and life in the city.
However, the prospect of returning to Brazil and playing in the Club World Cup with Palmeiras is also an enticing opportunity for him.
With only a week left before the transfer window in Brazil closes, the coming days will be crucial in deciding the striker’s fate.
Whether he remains in Spain or makes a return to his homeland, the final decision will depend on how negotiations unfold between the clubs involved.
