La Liga giants Barcelona remain hot on the trail of Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen.

This comes amid the Blaugrana’s ongoing search for reinforcements at centre-forward for the 2026/27 campaign.

The Camp Nou brass are widely expected to dip into the market for fresh blood up top in next summer’s transfer window.

With Robert Lewandowski primed to depart as a free agent, Hansi Flick’s squad will require an experienced goalscoring replacement.

To date, a whole host of names have been tipped as Lewa’s potential successor.

And as alluded to above, this week, one such frontman has again seen his name linked with that of the reigning Spanish champions.

As per a report from Fichajes, after ruling out players considered as out of reach owing to their sky-high price-tags (Erling Haaland, Julián Alvarez), the Barcelona hierarchy have again put forth the name of Victor Osimhen:

‘Deco and the sporting management believe that the Nigerian striker from Galatasaray fits the profile, potential and cost, fulfilling the urgent need to incorporate a goalscorer.’

Osimhen is for his part in the midst of another thoroughly productive campaign to date, having found the net 14 times in 15 appearances in the colours of Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray.
