Barcelona could announce 4 contract renewals in the new year | OneFootball

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona are hopeful of announcing contract renewals for four members of Hansi Flick’s squad, following the turn of the year.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The Camp Nou brass are currently working towards tying a whole host of key members of the club’s first-team setup down to fresh terms.

Some, Frenkie de Jong for one, remain some way off finding an accord, with the Dutchman continuing to wind down his terms ahead of their expiration in the summer of 2026.

For others, though, negotiations are progressing well.

And as much could yet result in a series of announcements by way of Barcelona regarding renewals early in 2025.

As per Sport, the Blaugrana hierarchy are hopeful of pushing contract extensions for all of Gavi, Pedri, Ronald Araújo and Iñaki Peña over the line over the weeks ahead.
