Marcus Rashford remains very much on the agenda for Barcelona as we enter the final week of the winter transfer window.

The 27-year-old is firmly out of the picture at Manchester United, with manager Ruben Amorim making it clear this past weekend that there is no way back for the forward.

“If things do not change, I will not change. I would rather play our goalkeeping coach, Vital, than a player who does not give his best every day. I will not change on that front,” the Red Devils’ manager said after the win vs. Fulham.

As has been reported already, Rashford is waiting for Barcelona and is even prepared to lower his salary to secure the transfer.

But Barcelona are yet to make a concrete move as they need to first offload a player or two to free up space for Rashford’s arrival.

In the meantime, however, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have entered the race for the Manchester United outcast, reports Matteo Moretto.

Fenerbahce, managed by former Man United manager Jose Mourinho, are looking for an attacking signing and have even shown interest in out-of-favour Barcelona forward Ansu Fati, who is unwilling to leave.

Now, they have set their sights on Rashford, along with arch-rivals Galatasaray. As of now, however, the situation remains at the inquiry stage, with no negotiations progressing.

Another Turkish club, Besiktas, are also said to be interested, with another ex-United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, taking over the reins there recently.

As mentioned earlier, though, the English forward’s first option remains Barcelona, but a move to the Catalan club cannot happen unless a player is sold first to free up salary space.

Rashford is taking his time, carefully considering which direction to take. At present, he would not rule out any option and as such, Barcelona will need to act quickly if they intend to sign him.
