In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona have identified Levante forward Karl Etta Eyong as a target. It has been revealed that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Cameroonian talent to the Nou Camp next year.
Eyong has made a good start to this campaign as he has put in a series of impressive displays for Levante in La Liga. The 22-year-old has found the back of the net six times and grabbed three assists in 12 matches for the Spanish club this season on all fronts.
The Cameroonian talent has proven his worth in the final third by averaging 2.49 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 50% of his attempts on target. However, Eyong has to find a way to improve his ball distribution based on his pass success rate of 69.4% in league football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Levante will run out in the summer of 2029. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Catalan club to get a deal done for him on the cheap next year.

Eyong is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer a few decent chances for his teammates in the final third.
The Cameroonian talent can strike the ball with power from long range. He can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Eyong is already quite familiar with La Liga and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Catalan club.
The gifted striker would add more pace and goals to Barcelona boss Hansi Flick’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Nou Camp in the future. The Cameroonian sensation could even help the Catalan giants challenge for some major honours over the next few seasons.
At 22, Eyong has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Therefore, it makes sense for Flick to go all out to bring him on board in the January transfer window or at the end of this campaign.
