Barcelona linked with surprise move for Arsenal star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend been credited with an interest in the signature of Arsenal star Martin Ødegaard.

This comes amid claims that the Blaugrana are on the lookout for a different kind or profile for their attacking midfield berth.

Ødegaard is for his part a key member of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad, acting as captain in north London.

Sidelined at present, it would therefore take a likely massive proposal to convince the brass at The Emirates of the merits of a sale.

According to El Nacional, though, Barcelona are nevertheless ready to try their luck, with a big-money offer in the summer of 2026.

In the case of taking his talents to Catalunya’s capital, Ødegaard would be forced to battle it out for playing time with the likes of Dani Olmo, and Fermín López.

Any such move would mark a return to La Liga for the Norwegian, who previously spent time on the books of both Real Sociedad, and Barcelona’s arch rivals, Real Madrid.
