Barcelona make call on January signing’s future | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have made the call to make the signing of youngster Patricio Pacífico permanent this summer.

This comes amid confirmation of full approval of the 20-year-old’s talents behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Pacífico was for his part brought in by Barcelona during the January transfer window, in a bid to aid the struggling backline of Barca Atlètic.

And the versatile defender, who can line out at either left-back or in central defence, has since gone on to manage precisely that.

After shaking off an early fitness concern, Pacífico has gone on to establish himself as a key figure in Juliano Belletti’s backline.

So much so that the Uruguay youth international has already secured his future in Catalunya beyond the expiry of his loan terms in the summer.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The club intends to sign Pacífico permanently. The terms of the loan agreement were agreed upon at the time of the initial arrangement (with Defensor Sporting).’
