Barcelona make contact over deal for Roma star | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have touched base with the representatives of AS Roma star Evan Ndicka, ahead of the summer.

This comes amid the Blaugrana’s ongoing search for reinforcements at the heart of defence.

Barcelona are of course widely expected to bring in fresh blood at the back with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.

With Ronald Araújo continuing to struggle for form, and Andreas Christensen for fitness, Hansi Flick’s squad is in desperate need of added depth and quality alike.

Deco and co, in turn, have long been scouring the market for defensive talent.

And as alluded to above, this week, the name of one such target identified by the Spanish champions has been revealed.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Barça has made initial inquiries regarding the situation of Evan Ndicka, the left-footed center-back for AS Roma.’

It is also noted that the inquiry did not go as far as reaching Roma, with Ndicka’s entourage having instead been contacted.

The situation is considered one to keep an eye on ahead of the summer.
