Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez stole the show in their 6-1 Champions League win over Olympiacos, scoring a sensational hat-trick.
The 22-year-old took home the match ball along with the Player of the Match trophy. Speaking after the game, he reflected on his achievement, highlighting the team’s role in his success.
“It’s a dream come true, it’s my first hat-trick with Barça. Now I hope my teammates sign the ball for me because it’s all thanks to them,” he said.
The attacking midfielder also shared his preferred position and commitment to the coach’s plans.
”I feel more comfortable as an attacking midfielder because I can play my game, score goals, and provide assists, but I’m at the coach’s disposal for whatever he needs.
Looking ahead to the upcoming clash with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, Fermin expressed confidence in his team’s momentum.
“Starting in El Clasico? That’s the coach’s decision,” Fermin added.
“We’re feeling good, we hope to play a great game and win at the Bernabéu. We needed a game like this,” he said.
Barcelona’s 17-year-old prodigy, Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández, also made headlines in the same match.

Reflecting on the experience, the youngster described it as a milestone moment. “It’s a special and unforgettable day.
“I always dreamed of playing games like this, and I’m very happy about it. Today I played better than the other day.
“Hansi told me I would play as a winger and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” he said.
Dro admitted that he felt calmer than in his previous appearances and explained the guidance he received from Hansi Flick.
“He asks me above all to give my all without the ball, to press hard, and with the ball, he tells me to enjoy myself and show what I bring to training.
“The coach gives us the freedom to cut inside, and I feel very comfortable there. There’s more space to think and move freely.”
Assessing the team’s overall performance, ‘Dro’ said, “I think we played a very serious game. At the beginning of the second half, we had some difficulties after their goal, but we were organised.”
He also revealed his excitement for the upcoming El Clasico. “I’m really looking forward to playing in El Clasico. I’d definitely be nervous about playing in it, but I’m excited about it.”
