Club moves toward permanent deal following strong season

Barcelona move closer to Rashford decision
Barcelona have decided to move forward with keeping Marcus Rashford after his positive loan season from Manchester United.
Barcelona have made clear decision regarding the future of Marcus Rashford who is currently playing for the club on loan from Manchester United.
Rashford joined Barcelona on season-long loan during the summer transfer window and his performances under head coach Hansi Flick have convinced the club to consider a permanent deal.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona can sign Rashford permanently by activating a €30 million buy option included in the loan agreement.
The payment structure has already been agreed, with the fee set to be paid in three annual installments of €10 million.
Before giving final approval, Barcelona’s sporting management must study the financial impact of the transfer. This includes Rashford’s salary and the length of his contract which is expected to be three year, with possible extension to four years at most as the player is approaching the later stage of his twenties.
Barcelona’s final decision depends on adapting the deal to La Liga’s Financial Fair Play rules.
If all conditions fit within the league’s regulations, the club is expected to give the green light to complete the transfer without delay.
Importantly there is no need for new negotiations with Rashford or his representatives. All financial terms were agreed directly with the player when the loan move was completed last July.
Rashford is reported to be happy in Barcelona and believes he still has room to grow. He feels the club offers the right environment to regain the top form he once showed at Man United.
On the pitch, the English forward has delivered solid numbers scoring 10 goal and providing 11 assist making him one of Barcelona’s most productive attackers this season.
