Barcelona officials to meet superagent in Lisbon; Serie A winger among names on agenda | OneFootball

The FC Barcelona camp is already in Lisbon as they get set to take on SL Benfica in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg tomorrow at Estadio da Luz.

Apart from the players and the coaching staff, club executives like president Joan Laporta, sporting director Deco and several others have also made the trip.

Laporta, Deco meet Jorge Mendes

Making use of their trip to Portugal, Laporta, Deco and other Barcelona board members have scheduled a meeting with superagent Jorge Mendes today, reports journalist Jose Alvarez.

The meeting will have several players on the agenda during the discussion.

For starters, Lamine Yamal’s impending contract renewal is believed to be high on the agenda for the meeting, with the Blaugrana planning to tie him down to a new long-term deal once he turns 18 later this year.

The name of Ansu Fati is also expected to come up, given his current situation at the club, where he is out of favour under Hansi Flick.

One more name that Barcelona and Mendes are also likely to discuss is AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese attacker is a target for the Catalans and given his recent situation at the club, a summer exit is a possibility.

Even though Mendes does not directly represent Leao any longer, he could act as an intermediary should Barça decide to pursue him.
