Barcelona could be set for an important squad decision this summer, with Marc Casado now seriously evaluating his future at the club.
According to a report from Nil Sola in Cadena SER, Barcelona are prepared to allow the midfielder to leave if he chooses to do so.
Casado, a product of La Masia, has long been seen as a player with the potential to carve out a role in the first team.
However, the current season has not unfolded as expected for the young midfielder.
Despite moments where opportunities seemed to open up, particularly due to injuries in his position, he has struggled to establish himself as a regular under Hansi Flick.
That lack of continuity is now beginning to affect his future.
The report suggests that Casado has already instructed his representatives to explore potential offers ahead of the summer transfer window.
It is not a decision taken lightly, but rather one influenced by the reality of limited playing time and an uncertain role within the squad.
From the club’s perspective, the situation is fully understood.

Sporting director Deco and the Barcelona hierarchy are aware that this is one of the key files to resolve in the coming months.
While there is no active push to force him out, there is also no intention to block a move, whether it comes in the form of a loan or a permanent transfer.
So far this season, Casado has accumulated 1,275 minutes across all competitions this season, featuring in 19 La Liga matches but starting only nine of them.
Across a total of 47 games played by Barcelona, he has been named in the starting XI just 14 times.
Furthermore, in the last 15 league fixtures, he has started only three matches, which is a sharp decline from last season.
In the Champions League, he has started just twice and lastly, in the Spanish Super Cup, he did not play a single minute.
For a player who has always expressed his desire to succeed at Barcelona, this situation presents a difficult crossroads.
As things stand, both player and club appear to be on the same page in their approach.
This means that if the right opportunity arises, a departure could be the best solution for all parties involved.
