Spanish football’s two leading clubs have this week been named as keen admirers of the talents of a member of the midfield ranks at Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

The player in question? Adam Wharton.

Wharton, for his part, has spent the season to date continuing to build on his reputation as one of English football’s standout engine room talents.

Still just 21, the Three Lions international has long been lauded for his all-round game, boasting impressive traits in and out of possession alike.

And such abilities, evidently, have not gone unnoticed across the continent.

As per a report from the Daily Mail, both Barcelona and Real Madrid ‘adore’ Wharton, considering the youngster a potential future signing.

The Clásico rivals, though, face stiff competition in the Wharton sweepstakes.

This comes with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City also said to maintain a keen interest in the midfielder, who could depart Selhurst Park in the case of Crystal Palace receiving an offer in the region of £60 million this summer.
