FC Barcelona were only able to incorporate two new players in their ranks in the last summer transfer window, and are looking likely to be more active in the next summer transfer window, especially if they are able to get back to the 1:1 status.

The Catalans are already being linked with some players, and there have been several free agents in whom they are reported to be interested.

One such full-back linked with the Blaugranes is the Bayern Munich-owned player Alphonso Davies, whose contract with the Bavarians ends at the end of this season, and who will be free to join another team for the next season.

Barcelona are reported to be interested in him, as they look for another quality left-back, who can compete with Alejandro Balde for a starting spot.

However, getting him will not really be easy, as he has strongly been linked with Real Madrid in the last few months, although nothing has been signed between the player and the Spanish champions for now.

Another side, Manchester United, was reported to have entered the race for the Canadian fullback recently, and according to SPORT, the interest from the Red Devils is becoming more and more formal.

The Premier League side is looking to put in a formal offer for the defender in the coming days, and this situation is causing the fullback’s situation to become even more confusing.

Reports from Germany indicate that Davies is not going to continue negotiating with Bayern Munich for renewal, especially as his future is looking close to Real Madrid. But the arrival of Barcelona and Manchester United on the scene is creating even more doubts among the footballer and his entourage.

But whichever of these sides ends up convincing the Canadian, will not find it cheap to be able to land him, as he has reportedly demanded a bonus of €15 million and annual wages reaching up to €20 million.
