La Liga giants Barcelona have sent a message the way of transfer target and Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Thursday provided the latest on the situation.

The name of wide-man Chiesa has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.

This comes amid widespread confirmation that the Italian international, out of the plans of new Juventus boss Thiago Motta, has made his way firmly onto the wishlist of Barcelona.

The Camp Nou brass are on the lookout for reinforcements out wide, with Chiesa’s explosiveness and ability to play on both wings making him a tempting profile.

The Blaugrana, as a result, are soon expected to table an opening offer for the 26-year-old’s signature.

Chiesa, though, will also be required to do his part, to ensure the success of the operation…

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘In order to complete the signing, the 26-year-old Italian would have to make an effort and give up one million euros of his salary.’

This is a message which has been made clear to the player and his entourage.

It remains to be seen whether or not Chiesa is open to such an option, but confidence appears to be growing that, come the close of the transfer window, the former Fiorentina standout will indeed be pulling on the colours of Barcelona.
