Barcelona star could join Atlético this summer | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at Barcelona could be in line for a transfer to La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid over the weeks ahead.

This comes amid confirmation that the Rojiblancos maintain an ongoing interest in the signature of Marc Casadó.

Youngster Casadó is of course widely expected to bring a close to his stint on the books of Barcelona this summer. Surplus to requirements in the eyes of Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old is likely to be shipped out to raise funds for reinforcements.

To date, Saudi Arabia has been the landing spot most strongly pushed for Casadó in the media.

As alluded to above, though, the Spanish international could yet stay put in his home country, with one of La Liga’s other leading clubs.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘One of the teams closely monitoring his situation are Atlético de Madrid. The club’s sporting department highly values Casadó, believing he could fit perfectly into their style of play.’

The midfielder himself is also said to be open to the prospect of a Metropolitano switch.
