Barcelona star holds ‘positive talks’ over move to MLS | OneFootball

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has held initial discussions over a potential transfer to Major League Soccer.

This comes amid serious interest on the part of the Chicago Fire in a deal for the Polish international.

Frontman Lewandowski is as things stand of course set to depart Catalunya’s capital in the summer of 2026.

Despite his ongoing importance in Hansi Flick’s squad, the former Bayern Munich man is due to see his contract terms come to a close upon the season’s end.

And with as much in mind, the aforementioned Chicago have made their move…

As per a report from the BBC:

‘Chicago Fire have held positive talks with Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski over a move to Major League Soccer.’

It is also noted that Lewandowski himself is open to the move, albeit with several other options also on the table, including a Saudi switch, and even a new contract at the Spotify Camp Nou.
