A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona was left nothing short of livid in the aftermath of his latest appearance on the international front.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha was for his part back in action for Brazil in the early hours of Wednesday.

After Carlo Ancelotti’s troops made the trip to Bolivia for a World Cup qualifier with their place at next summer’s tournament already secured, the Seleção were ultimately condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result.

The testing atmosphere played a central role in as much, with Brazil the latest nation to have been forced to play in the sky-high altitude of Bolivia’s home ground in La Paz.

And one member of the visitors’ ranks who could not bite his tongue regarding his anger with as much post-match was the aforementioned Raphinha.

After playing the final half hour of the clash, the Barcelona star vented following the full-time whistle:

“From the moment a team makes you play at an altitude of 4,000 meters to win the game, I think that hurts the other teams quite a bit. And then, in a balanced match like the one we were playing, the referee invented a penalty. I think that complicates our game even more inside the camp.”
