Barcelona star loses a transfer suitor | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week seen one of his leading transfer suitors drop out of the race for his signature.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Al-Hilal as the outfit in question.

A whole host of Saudi clubs are understood to have made known their interest in Lewandowski this summer, keen to take advantage of the Pole’s contract situation in Catalunya’s capital (one year remaining on his deal).

Chief among them were the aforementioned Al-Hilal, on the lookout for a statement addition in the final third.

As alluded to above, however, this week, the interest of the big spenders from the Middle East has come to an end.

As per a report from Sport, after landing Darwin Núñez from Premier League champions Liverpool, Al-Hilal have pulled the plug on any potential Lewandowski swoop.

It is also noted that the former Bayern Munich man himself only has eyes for Barcelona at present.
