Barcelona star the subject of transfer approach from Bayern Munich | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was recently approached by representatives from German champions Bayern Munich.

That’s according to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, who points towards Fermín López as the player in question.

All-action midfielder Fermín is for his part of course fresh off another fine season on the books of Barcelona.

Despite acting as a backup to Dani Olmo for much of the campaign in Catalunya’s capital, the Spaniard carved out an important place for himself in Hansi Flick’s squad.

All told, in 46 appearances across all competitions, the 22-year-old racked up an impressive eight goals and 10 assists.

With such production, though, comes inevitable outside interest…

Already this summer, Premier League heavyweights Chelsea were tipped as a potential landing spot for Fermín.

And as alluded to above, on Monday, another of the continent’s leading clubs have also been credited with an interest in the Spanish international.

As per a report from journalist Ben Jacobs:

‘Understand Fermin Lopez has received an exploratory approach from Bayern Munich.’

Significantly, though, it is also noted that ‘the 22-year-old prefers to stay at Barcelona.’
