La Liga giants Barcelona are set to miss out on the signature of a player long on the club’s transfer radar.
This comes amid confirmation that Brazilian prodigy Rayan has agreed on the terms of a move to Premier League outfit Bournemouth.
Rayan, for his part, is a 19-year-old attacker, who has spent recent months building for himself a stellar reputation in his native Brazil.
Plying his trade with Vasco da Gama, the winger closed the season with a head-turning 20 goals to his name.
Such exploits turned the heads of those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Barcelona, with sporting director Deco understood to have been keeping a close eye on Rayan’s development with a view to a future offer for his signature.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media late this week is anything to go by, then the Spanish champions appear to have missed out.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘If there is no change of script in the next few hours, everything points to Rayan landing this month in the Premier League.’
Bournemouth are ready to meet the financial demands of Vasco da Gama, courtesy of an imminent bid worth a considerable €35 million.
