La Liga giants Barcelona have pivoted focus towards the signing of a member of the attacking ranks at Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

This comes amid the understanding that the Blaugrana are ready to go all out to bring Anthony Gordon to Catalunya’s capital.

It is of course widespread knowledge at this point that Deco and the Camp Nou brass are on the hunt for reinforcements in the final third with a view to next season.

With Robert Lewandowski on the move, and uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres, Barca are eyeing players capable of filling multiple attacking roles in Hansi Flick’s squad.

And as alluded to above, after links with the likes of João Pedro and Julián Alvarez, the Spanish champions have this week set sights on the services of none other than Anthony Gordon.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, amid mounting competition from Bayern Munich and more:

‘Barcelona are in direct club to club talks with Newcastle for Anthony Gordon. The player’s keen on the move but more clubs are also on it.’
