Barcelona are expected to enter the summer transfer window searching for a new striker, knowing Robert Lewandowski is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Pole has been offered a new one-year deal, but he has received more lucrative options from elsewhere, including Italy, with Juventus emerging as a potential frontrunner.
This has led to Barcelona looking at Julian Alvarez. But signing the Atletico Madrid star will be difficult, which is why the club are also looking at alternatives.
That is where Rafael Leao comes into the fray, as the Portuguese international has been offered to the club.
According to Matteo Moretto, AC Milan are looking for a fee of around €50 million for the services of Leao this summer.

The Portuguese international is open to a move to Catalonia. But for Barcelona, he remains just another alternative for Martinez and there is no concrete interest as of yet.
The player is approved by the president-elect, Joan Laporta. But within the broader members of the club, the AC Milan forward doesn’t generate much excitement.
Formerly of Sporting CP, Leao’s numbers at Milan speak for themselves, having been involved in 80 goals and 65 assists in 290 competitive matches.
However, the Portuguese international’s numbers pale in comparison when looked through the lens of someone who has to replace Robert Lewandowski or compete with Raphinha on the left flank.
That is why Barcelona members are not completely on board with the idea of Leao, who remains an alternative should the club fail in their attempts to sign Alvarez this summer.
