Barcelona’s next move isn’t on the pitch — Dubai investors enter the picture
Barcelona earned €87 million from Champions League so far and are preparing major commercial project in Dubai with Emirati investors.
Barcelona moving forward with large business agreement involving Emirati investors as the club continues to expand its global brand and strengthen its finances.
According to a report from the Barca Reservat podcast on Catalunya Ràdio, the proposed deal includes building luxury residential complex in Dubai that would carry Barcelona’s name and branding.
The project would be similar to real estate development already linked to Chelsea in the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement is still waiting for approval from the club’s member assembly, known as the Socios and part of the investment has reportedly already been paid in advance.
The planned complex would include high end apartments, shared areas and buildings featuring the club’s crest prominently turning the project into small Barcelona branded community.
The Dubai partnership has not been officially announced yet, unlike other recent commercial moves such as the renewal of the club’s sponsorship deal with Spotify.
Barcelona expected to hold extraordinary general meeting before the club’s presidential elections scheduled for 15 March but the board postponed the gathering to unspecified future date.
Approval is also expected for new shirt sponsor that will replace the UN Refugee Agency logo on the back of the kit starting in July 2026.
On the sporting side, Barcelona have already secured €87 million in Champions League revenue this season after qualifying directly for the round of 16.
Based on UEFA’s distribution model, the club earned:
Barcelona also collected additional performance bonuses including €2.1 million from their 4-1 win over Copenhagen.
A major part of the income came from UEFA’s “value pillar” combining broadcasting market share and historical ranking, worth €35.38 million according to Mundo Deportivo.
