Ander Barrenetxea has no set return date as he continues to recover from a right thigh haematoma. His participation in the Copa is ruled out. He has already missed two matches.

Speaking at Anoeta on Saturday, Pellegrino Matarazzo said the winger still lacks some muscle mobility, that they will assess him day by day, and that they hope he could be back on the pitch for training early next week, although this is not 100 percent certain.

Barrenetxea first sustained the issue after a blow in the first-round Basque derby. He then suffered another contusion in the same area against Celta last week, which led to increased bleeding and a larger haematoma.

The area was drained this week, and the medical staff are waiting for the muscle to heal before his availability can be assessed.

For Wednesday’s semi-final, Zakharyan, Kubo and Rupérez will also be absent.
