Battle of champions awaits between Pachuca and LD Alajuelense | OneFootball

MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continues as reigning Liga MX Femenil champions CF Pachuca host Costa Rican champions Liga Deportiva Alajuelense in Group A on Wednesday at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Mexico.

Pachuca will look to bounce back after losing its second game of the Group Stage against fellow Mexican side Club América. The Tuzas sit third in the group with three points. Key players like Nina Nicosia, Natalia Mauleón and Jocelyn Orejel will seek to keep the club in the race for a top two finish.

LD Alajuelense is after its first win of the campaign. The club sits in fourth place with one point, after securing a goalless draw against Club América in its opening bout. Players like Katherine Arroyo, Fabiola Villalobos and Sofía Varela will seek to find the back of the net and catapult the side into the race for the Semifinals.

CF Pachuca Femenil suffered its first-ever defeat in the tournament. It also marked the first time the team failed to score in a match.

Pachuca became the third visiting team to play at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes (Mexico City) and suffer a shutout loss, following Rise Academy (0-7 on August 21, 2024) and Santa Fe FC (0-5 on September 19, 2024).
