Bayer Leverkusen & Newcastle interested in Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo | OneFootball

According to L’Équipe, Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle United have expressed interest in Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo (23), who finished the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 campaign as the division’s third top scorer with 17 goals.

Kalimuendo, under contract with SRFC until 2027, was close to leaving the Breton club last summer and looks set for another uncertain window. Both clubs have initiated contact over a potential move, though no formal offer has yet been submitted.

Newcastle are reportedly willing to make a significant financial effort to secure the French youth international. Rennes bought Kalimuendo for €25m when he joined from PSG in 2022, but may face pressure to sell depending on the size of incoming bids. Fabrizio Romano reported in March Arnaud Kalimuendo (23) has been attracting interest and several clubs have made initial approaches ahead of the summer transfer window.
