Kicker reports that Bayer Leverkusen remain open to selling Bosnian prospect Kerim Alajbegovic amid Chelsea links. Rumors of Chelsea interest stems from The Athletic, which does emphasize that there are no concrete talks or negotiations taking place yet.

Alajbegovic is also attracting interest from several Serie A clubs. The 18-year-old has still not featured for his Bundesliga club since Leverkusen exercised an €8m buyback option on him this summer. Alajbegovic currently maintains an estimated €22m market value in the latest Transfermarkt listings.

Are Leverkusen ready to ‘flip’ Kerim Alajbegovic immediately?

According to Kicker, the answer is yes. This despite some bad recent injury news involving Eliesse Ben Seghir. Despite the fact that Ben Seghir disappointed in his first season with die Werkself, the chances that Leverkusen can find a taker for the Moroccan and recoup some of their investment remains low. 

The same does not apply to Alajbegovic, who can help line the Leverkusen coffers immediately. The always reliable Kicker Magazine correspondent Stephan van Nocks states that Germany’s red company team are more than willing to let Aljabegovic go.
