According to Kicker.de, there is disagreement at Säbener Straße between the bosses regarding Bayern Munich's pursuit of Kennet Eichhorn.
The recently crowned Bundesliga champions' sporting director, Max Eberl, is a big fan of the Hertha BSC talent and wants to sign him.
However, supervisory board members around Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge are reportedly “against such a transfer”.
Their reasoning is that signing a new attacking player is a priority – one of Anthony Gordon or Yan Diomande will likely reduce their budget.
The talented central midfielder, who, despite his young age, is already a regular starter in the German second division with the capital club.
Furthermore, a midfield vacancy in the form of Leon Goretzka this summer should ideally be filled by a homegrown talent.
However, Bayern Munich's current lack of planning towards striking a deal for Eichhorn is likely to be welcomed by their rivals.
Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Manchester City in particular are all waiting in the wings to land the 16-year-old.
