Bayern are now unbeaten in their last nine Bundesliga games, and head into the international break on a high note.

Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin: Match report

Serge Gnabry collected the ball on the left flank and cut inside sharply into the penalty area, but his curling effort drifted wide of the target.

Moments later, Josip Stanisic made an intelligent run from deep and delivered a precise first-time square pass to young Lennart Karl. The youngster attempted to place his shot beyond the goalkeeper, only to see the ball cannon back off the post.

Michael Olise then showcased his trademark style, drifting in from the right before unleashing a powerful left-footed strike. The Berlin goalkeeper produced a fine save to keep the effort out.

The visitors failed to clear the resulting danger, and Harry Kane pounced on the loose ball, but he could not find the net with his left foot from close range.

Stanisic was involved again shortly afterwards, darting into the box from the right and floating a delightful cross. Leon Goretzka met the delivery but failed to direct his close-range header on target.

Seconds later, Bayern finally broke the deadlock. Goretzka lifted an excellent pass into the box, where Michael Olise took a composed touch and slotted the ball calmly into the bottom-left corner, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

Just before the interval, Bayern doubled their advantage. Stanisic delivered another dangerous cross from the right, which Ronnow could only parry partially. The ball fell invitingly to Serge Gnabry, who produced a brilliant volley to rifle it into the net and make it 2-0.

The second half began with Bayern Munich maintaining their dominance.

Konrad Laimer and Serge Gnabry exchanged neat passes on the edge of the box before the ball found its way to Harry Kane inside the penalty area.

The England captain created space for himself with a clever movement and finished clinically in his trademark style, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to extend the lead to 3-0.

Bayern continued to create chances and could have added more, but they missed several opportunities to extend their advantage further.

Lennart Karl, in particular, struggled to find his scoring touch from close range, firing a shot straight into the hands of the Berlin goalkeeper when well placed.

Olise produced a breathtaking piece of skill to create space for himself and fired an effort on goal, only for it to be blocked. The ball fell to Serge Gnabry on the left, and the German rifled his shot with his right foot to score his second goal of the match.

Kane and Olise combined brilliantly to carve open a superb attacking move, but the Frenchman was desperately unlucky as his left-footed strike kissed the crossbar when he appeared certain to score.

In the dying minutes of the match, Harry Kane had a late chance to add another goal to his tally. He carried the ball forward into the box in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper, but his attempted lob went horribly off target.
