Kicker is confirming what most already assumed to be true. Namely, that Bayern Munich have absolutely no intention of selling Colombian winger Luis Diaz.
The German record champions reportedly view the 29-year-old as a central component of their sporting plans following an outstanding first season in Bavaria. Diaz registered 26 goals and 23 assists across 51 appearances in all competitions after arriving from Liverpool for €75m last summer.
Saudi club Al-Hilal recently tested Bayern’s resolve with a €70m offer, but that proposal was never likely to tempt the Bundesliga champions. Selling Diaz for less than their original investment would make little sporting or financial sense, particularly with no obvious replacement available.
Arijon Ibrahimovic remains earmarked as a potential long-term successor, though the 20-year-old is not yet considered ready to assume such a prominent role. Bayern therefore intend to reject any approach unless Diaz himself unexpectedly pushes for a departure.
