Alejandro Garnacho seems to be slowly winning over head coach Ruben Amorim as the Argentine made consecutive starts for Manchester United for the first time on Thursday since being dropped from the Manchester derby matchday squad.

The Argentine completed 90 minutes in the Premier League for the first time under the new head coach and despite missing a sitter in the first half, the coach was extremely pleased with what he saw, especially out of possession.

The 20-year-old had been accused of not working hard enough without the ball but he is beginning to align with the ex-Sporting Lisbon boss’ vision.

As revealed by Amorim before Sunday’s game against Brighton, he is learning how to play differently to what he was previously accustomed to at the club.

Garnacho’s future remains up in the air

Even in an attacking sense, the former Atletico Madrid starlet has registered two assists in his previous couple of appearances against Liverpool and Arsenal.

Despite the resurgence, INEOS are open to offers for the Argentina international, who is no longer considered an untouchable, due to the club’s need for pure profit to combat rising PSR fears.

Napoli are seen as frontrunners as they seem intent on landing the Carrington graduate who is seen as the perfect replacement for Kvicha Kvaratshkhelia.

However, their offer has so far fallen short of United’s demands, which has allowed the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to enter the race.

But as revealed by ESPN, there are quite a few other clubs attentive to the situation, looking to take advantage of INEOS’ desperation to balance the books before the financial year concludes.

Bayern Munich and Juventus could also look to pounce should the Naples outfit fail with their bids as United could potentially refuse to do business with a domestic rival.

“The Serie A side (Napoli) contacted United with a valuation of around €50m for Garnacho, but the approach was quickly rebuffed. United’s financial situation means that any serious offer for any member of the senior squad will be considered.

Bayern, Juventus also in the race

“Sources have told ESPN that Bayern Munich, Juventus and Chelsea have also been asked to be kept informed about Garnacho’s future.”

His former club Atletico and Paris Saint-Germain were also monitoring proceedings but it is unlikely that the Ligue 1 giants will re-enter the race considering they already landed Napoli’s talisman.

Garnacho also does not wish to leave Old Trafford just yet and it would be sad to see him depart anytime soon especially due to PSR woes.

The club’s priority remains moving on Marcus Rashford, another United academy graduate, with AC Milan, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund among the clubs fighting for his signature this winter.
