Sky Germany reports that Bayern Munich have been offered the option to sign out-of-favour Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund.

United are open to letting the Dane leave on loan with an option to buy, after the arrival of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Seško meant he has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

As of now, Bayern have not taken advantage of his offer, while AC Milan remains interested in Højlund.

With Bayern lacking options in attack, especially a backup to Harry Kane, this could provide a low-cost option for the Bundesliga champions, particularly as a move to Nick Woltemade currently seems unlikely.

Germany will also not be unfamiliar to the Højlund family.  Both of Rasmus’ brothers currently play in the two German divisions. Oscar played a bit part role for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, with most of his appearances coming off the bench, due to injuries hampering the 20-year-old’s preparation. While his twin brother Emil plays as a striker for Schalke.
