After being linked with Real Madrid this summer, could Michael Olise (24) actually leave Bayern Munich in the coming weeks? For Herbert Hainer, the president of the Rekordmeister, this possibility is out of the question.
“Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player, and he is on a long-term contract. We are not a selling club. If Florentino Pérez wishes to make us an offer – which has not been the case so far – he can save himself the trouble, not even for €150m or more,” the German executive told Bild.
Having enjoyed an impressive season, marked by a total of 53 goalscoring contributions (22 goals and 31 assists) in 52 appearances across all competitions and crowned with a Bundesliga title, Olise is believed to be the player targeted by Pérez’s comments, who recently announced he would be prepared to invest “at least €150 million” on a player this summer should he be re-elected as Real Madrid president.
A saga that is sure to liven up the upcoming transfer window, as the London-born player, under contract with Bayern until 2029, prepares to play in his first World Cup for the French national team.
