After reports that Alphonso Davies‘ agent had ordered contracts to be drawn up for a deal with Real Madrid, Los Blancos have been given a second boost today in the long-running transfer saga. Nedal Huoseh is set to leave the Bavarian capital tomorrow without a new deal agreed.
Having arrived for talks last week, BILD (via Diario AS) report that no agreement has been found. Bayern presented a final offer of €15m net per annum, plus a signing bonus of €15m. There is still a difference of around €1-2m between what Davies’ agent is asking and what Bayern are offering though.
As such, Huoseh is set to arrange meetings with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid in order to see what they can bring to the table. Bayern’s offer is better than what Los Blancos are willing to pay, but if no deal is done with Davies’ current club, Real Madrid will back themselves to get a deal done.
Naturally, the Premier League will probably put more money on the table for Davies, and none of that trio have players that Davies will feel he cannot beat out for a place in the starting XI. Real Madrid had been banking on Ferland Mendy, but his dip in form likely erases all doubts that Davies would command a starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu.
