Bayern Munich star Leroy Sané has set his sights on a move to Spain, with Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing English sources, who have on Friday provided an insight into the latest desires of the German international.
Wide-man Sané, for his part, is currently set to be on the move upon the season coming to a close.
The 28-year-old’s contract terms are due to expire in the summer, with the two parties yet to find any sort of common ground when it comes to a renewal.
Still regarded as, on his day, one of the most explosive winger talents in world football, a whole host of clubs from across the continent have in turn begun sniffing around Sané’s signature.
From the Premier League, all of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are labelled as keen.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word doing the rounds on Friday is anything to go by, then the player himself appears to have set his sights elsewhere.
As per a report from MD, citing Caught Offside:
‘Sané’s desire is to play for Barça and he would prioritise joining the Catalans rather than returning to the Premier League.’
Deco and the Camp Nou transfer team are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements out wide with a view to the 2025/26 campaign, with Sané’s name expected to be taken into consideration over the weeks and months ahead.
