The Bundesliga action this weekend sees Bayern Munich against Hoffenheim at the PreZero Arena this Saturday.
Both teams are eager to extend their strong starts to the season. The visitors currently lead the league table while Hoffenheim are aiming to keep up their own momentum under the guidance of Christian Ilzer.
Vincent Kompany faces some selection headaches at the back, as Josip Stanišić has been ruled out for several weeks following a torn medial ligament sustained during the recent 3-1 Champions League triumph over Chelsea. While initial reports suggested a minor injury, further assessment confirmed significant damage for the Croatian.
Defensive options remain limited for Bayern, with Alphonso Davies still recovering from an earlier knee injury and Hiroki Ito not yet fit following a lengthy ankle issue. Raphael Guerreiro will also miss the fixture due to problems with his abdominal muscles.
Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury – a setback that removes a key creative presence from Bayern’s midfield. Despite these absences, the Bavarians retain plenty of firepower, highlighted by Harry Kane’s impressive tally of five Bundesliga goals already this campaign.
Bayern Munich Predicted XI: Neuer; Boey, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer; Kimmich, Goretzka; Olise, Gnabry, Díaz; Kane
Saturday 20th September, at 2:30pm BST.
