Lennart Karl is set to be rewarded for his breakout campaign with the Bayern Munich start set to earn a maiden call-up to the German national team, according to Bild.
The youngster – who has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season – has impressed Julian Nagelsmann.
Karl only signed a professional contract in the summer, and recently became the youngest German goalscorer in UEFA Champions League history, scoring in three successive games against Club Brugge, Arsenal and Sporting CP.
Sky Germany report that Jamal Musiala is set to miss out on Germany’s latest squad as a precautionary measure. The 23-year-old missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen due to an ankle injury, and is also sidelined for Bayern’s Champions League clash against Atalanta – Musiala is also reported to be out for their Matchday 27 game against Union Berlin.
Musiala’s last appearance for Germany, who play Switzerland and Ghana, came in March 2025. The Bayern star will have to wait a little longer to mark his return to the national team.
