A few days before the Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund, two regular players were missing from FC Bayern’s training session
As reported by Sky, Michael Olise and Aleksandar Pavlovic were absent from today’s team training session at FC Bayern. The reason for this is pure stress management ahead of the classic – there are no injuries. Both professionals are to be given targeted rest in order to be available for the top match against BVB at optimum freshness
Especially in the current phase of the season, the record champions are paying more attention to controlling intensity. The coming weeks with national and international tasks require precise planning
There is positive news for Konrad Laimer, however. The Austrian trained fully with the team, as he did on Monday, and is apparently fully available again following his last-minute absence against Eintracht Frankfurt

Kompany also used the session to give young talents a platform, with Junior Lambé (17), Filip Pavić (16) and new winter signing Bara Sapoko Ndiaye (18) all given the opportunity to showcase their talents in the professional squad. Such sessions are a valuable opportunity for youngsters to draw attention to themselves, especially during intensive training weeks
At the same time, Manuel Neuer continues to work on his comeback. The captain has recently completed individual sessions with increased intensity, albeit still without jumps or spectacular flying moves. The aim remains a possible appearance in the classic
FC Bayern will not be taking any risks, however, as they have a reliable replacement in Jonas Urbig, who has put in a solid performance in recent matches. The final decision on Neuer’s involvement will probably not be made until shortly before the game.
