AS reports that Benfica have joined the race for Almería winger Sergio Arribas, the Spain under-21 international long tracked by Sporting.
The Lisbon club's entry could shape his next move, and the player interests Mário Branco, who is already exploring alternatives in case José Mourinho departs.
Arribas has suitors across Europe. Clubs from La Liga, Serie A and the Premier League are monitoring, with Sunderland among those cited, and Ajax also attentive.
At 24, he is enjoying a standout campaign, highlighted by a hat-trick against Granada. His deal runs to 2029 with a €40m release clause, and Almería are unlikely to accept below €25m.
This season he has played 38 times for Almería, 37 in Spain's second tier and one in the Copa del Rey, totalling 3,063 minutes. He has scored 24 goals and supplied six assists, and is valued at €15m.
