Benfica ‘to formalise’ Anísio Cabral renewal after 18th birthday

Anísio Cabral turned 18 on Sunday, 15 February, a milestone that sets up Benfica’s next move for the in-form forward.

Record writes that the club could soon formalise the deal for the shirt 72, adding the agreement between the parties was set a few weeks ago. The report also says Rui Costa’s hierarchy plan to tie down other Seixal prospects emerging under José Mourinho.

Cabral’s breakthrough began with his senior debut against Estrela da Amadora, where he scored. He has since earned further chances and has impressed Mourinho.
