Benzema ruled out of Al-Hilal’s Al-Taawoun clash with toe injury | OneFootball

Al-Hilal suffered a late setback hours before facing Al-Taawoun, with Benzema sidelined and their injury problems resurfacing at a key stage of the Roshen Professional League.

The club said in a statement on X that the French forward has a toe injury and will not be in the squad for the Al-Taawoun match.

Benzema joined during the winter transfer window but has struggled for fitness, missing the previous two fixtures against Al-Taawoun and Al-Shabab.

He has featured in six matches for Al-Hilal, scoring five and supplying two assists. Ongoing concerns over his fitness have sparked debate about a possible chronic issue.

Injuries have also hit key teammates, including captain Salem Al-Dossari and new French winger Simon Boubari.
