The club captain has now won more Premier League games with City than anyone else, moving ahead of David Silva on 214.

Former goalkeeper Ederson is the only other man to win more than 200 times in the Premier League with City, earning three points on 205 occasions.

Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho round out the top five with 197 and 187 successes respectively.

For Bernardo, who confirmed last week that he will leave at the end of the season, it’s yet another milestone in what has been a spectacular City career.

The Portuguese midfielder has played 453 times in a City shirt, more than anyone else since he arrived in 2017.

It was a doubly significant night for the 31-year-old as he surpassed club legend and ambassador Mike Summerbee to go eighth in terms of all-time appearances for City.

299 of his 453 City outings have come in the Premier League, meaning he’s won an astonishing 72% of his games in the English top-flight.

That’s contributed to a stunning haul of six titles in eight complete seasons, with the No.20 now skippering the side that’s in the mix for yet another top spot.

Only five players have ever lifted the famous trophy more than Bernardo, with all of those playing in the Premier League longer than our captain.

In total, he has lifted 19 major honours with City and is our joint-most decorated player alongside Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones.

It all points to his incredible consistency and work ethic over his time in Manchester, having arrived at City as a talented playmaker and developed into Pep Guardiola’s most trusted lieutenant.

Congratulations to Bernardo on yet another landmark moment!

As we confirmed last week, a full celebration of Bernardo’s City career will come at the end of the season.
