Besiktas submit loan offer for Liverpool’s Giorgi Mamardashvili | OneFootball

Besiktas have submitted a loan offer for Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili (25), according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Istanbul club would like to bring the Georgian international goalkeeper to Turkey before the winter transfer window closes. 

Mamardashvili set for winter departure from Liverpool?

The Turkish Super League outfit have submitted a €2m loan offer to the Premier League champions for the former Valencia goalkeeper. There is no option to buy in the proposal that has been submitted to the Merseyside outfit. However, the proposal sent to the English club does include an option to extend the loan beyond the end of the season.

Since signing for Liverpool, Mamardashvili has had to settle for being the second-choice goalkeeper at Anfield.  Alisson Becker remains the first-choice stopper in the eyes of Arne Slot, and most of the Georgian’s opportunities have come when the Brazilian international has been injured.
