The Juventus Men's First Team were held to their first draw of the 2025/26 Serie A season, with the match ending 1-1 against Verona on Matchday 4.

The scoring was opened at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi by Chico Conceicao with an excellent effort, but a penalty from Gift Orban at the end of the first half secured a point for the Gialloblu.

VERONA FIGHT BACK BEFORE HALF-TIME

The first goal came in the 19th minute when Conceicao produced a wonderful solo effort. Picking up the ball on the right wing, the Portuguese attacker danced past two defenders before unleashing a low shot into the bottom corner, giving Lorenzo Montipo no chance.

Verona posed a threat when they managed to get forward in the early stages of the first half, but Juventus still had a level of control over the game. As is to be expected this season, Kenan Yildiz was the most confident-looking player on the pitch and Verona's defenders had to watch him incredibly closely.

Despite that, on the stroke of half-time, Verona were awarded a penalty for an apparent handball by Joao Mario. Orban stepped up and scored the penalty, despite Michele Di Gregorio getting a hand to it.

A TOUGH BATTLE ENDS ALL SQUARE

The Bianconeri started the second half brightly and Dusan Vlahovic forced a save out of Montipo, showing good willingness to get into the box and get his shot away. Verona were not content with defending, though, and Orban had an effort from range which needed a very good save from Di Gregorio. The young Giovane was also causing problems on the right wing.

Wanting to freshen up the attack after 57 minutes, Igor Tudor introduced Vasilije Adzic and Lois Openda for Dusan Vlahovic and Khephren Thuram.

Despite the changes, Verona seemed to have turned the game around and led 2-1 in the 67th minute, but Suat Serdar's header was ruled out due to an offside. Both goalkeepers were being called into action as the game ticked into the final 10 minutes, meaning it was not clear at all where the points would be going.

Despite seven minutes of added time, neither side could fashion many clear opportunities and the match ended 1-1.
