Birmingham City beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at Hillsborough, climbing from 14th to 13th in the Championship thanks to late goals from Marvin Ducksch and substitute Kyogo Furuhashi.
Marvin Ducksch broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute, converting after Jay Stansfield's pass.

Birmingham registered 22 attempts and seven on target. Murphy Mahoney made six saves for The Owls.
After the introduction of Kyogo Furuhashi, Birmingham kept pushing and the Japanese forward sealed the points in the second minute of second half stoppage time (90+2.).
