Yann Bisseck has been touted as a possible transfer candidate for FC Bayern for months. Now there could be some movement in the personnel matter. According to the latest reports, the German international can very well imagine a move to Munich. Nevertheless, there are currently many arguments against Bayern making a move in the near future
The defense remains one of the most exciting construction sites at FC Bayern this transfer summer. Although Munich’s focus is currently clearly on the signings of Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown, those responsible are also keeping a close eye on the market for defenders
One name that comes up time and again is Yann Bisseck. The 25-year-old has been on the German record champions‘ watch lists for some time and is seen internally as an interesting profile for the future
According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the possibility of a transfer could arise in the summer, with Bisseck open to a return to Germany and would welcome a move to FC Bayern should the Munich club’s interest become concrete
The defensive player’s versatility is a particularly important factor for Bayern
Born in Cologne, Bisseck has continued to develop at Inter Milan in recent years and is now also a member of the German national team
His flexibility makes him particularly valuable. Bisseck can play as a classic central defender as well as on the right side of defence. It is precisely this variability that corresponds exactly to the profile that FC Bayern is looking for
Vincent Kompany attaches great importance to players who can play in several positions. With players such as Josip Stanisic and Konrad Laimer, Munich already have this type of player at their disposal. Bisseck would fit seamlessly into this requirement profile
His physical presence, his speed and his ability to build up play are also qualities that are of great importance in the modern Bayern game

Although Bisseck is highly regarded at Inter Milan, the Nerazzurri are apparently not categorically ruling out a sale. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian champions would be willing to listen to offers in order to generate funds for further reinforcements
The transfer fee is said to be around 40 million euros, which would be an attractive price from the point of view of potential buyers, given a market value of around 50 million euros
Nevertheless, a transfer currently seems rather unlikely
Bayern are currently concentrating on other priorities and are working intensively on the signings of Brown and Saibari, both of whom would already take up a considerable part of the available budget
In addition, there would first have to be some movement on the departures side. With Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Min-jae Kim, Hiroki Ito and Josip Stanisic, the record champions currently have several options for the defense
Should there be any personnel changes in defence in the summer, however, Bisseck could quickly become a concrete topic again. The fact that the international is open to a move to Säbener Straße is something that those in charge in Munich are likely to have taken note of.
