Blackburn Rovers, one of West Brom’s relegation rivals, have been permitted to alter their registered squad for the remainder of the season. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Ewood Park club have approval to amend two places in their 25-man list.

Rovers, 19th in the Championship and level on points with Albion, last week signed former England youngster Nathan Redmond. He has been added to their 25-man squad.

In defence, injuries have forced further changes. With Sondre Tronstad and Lewis Miller both out, Rovers have deregistered the pair and re-registered George Pratt, who had been on loan at Chorley.

EFL regulations allow clubs to request adjustments to their squad lists by a specified date.

The mechanism has been used before. Last season Portsmouth removed Ibane Bowat after a knee injury and registered Colby Bishop in his place.
